You have to be a registered user to use the online UIF payments section.

Registration is free and will take 1 minute. REGISTER HERE.

(Please ignore this message if you are already logged in)

As required by law any person making use of a domestic worker which works more than 24 hours in a month should register as an employer with the UIF and comply with the following.

  • UIF must be deducted monthly at a rate of 1% and 1% must be contributed by the Employer.
  • These payments together with the declaration form must be submitted to the UIF monthly.
  • The Employer must give a payslip to the domestic worker when wage/salary is paid over.

By using our online service you will be able to stay within the law knowing all forms and payments are submitted to the UIF on time and in the correct way.

All of this at a minimal admin fee of 1% of the total salary paid*

*minimum fee of R15 per month applies

NB - you must be registered as an employer of domestic worker(s) and have a reference number before you will be able to use this online payment service. You can register here as an employer of domestic worker(s)

(Please ignore this if you already have a UIF reference number)

1. What does this service mean?

After you have registered as a user on our site and you are logged in you will be able to do the following:

Pay UIF contibutions for your domestic via credit card for any specific month or year (past or present).

  1. A payslip will be generated an stored under your profile for you to view or print out any time.
  2. Full history of payments made, payslips etc.
  3. Full details of the Domestic worker(s) will be saved for future use.
  4. You will be able to edit and save the details of the Employer or the Domestic worker at any time.

2. What we do for you?

  1. The system will automatically calculate the amount payable and generate a payslip for the specific month.
  2. The amount is calculated as follows (1% to be deducted from the domestic worker, 1 % to be paid over by the Employer, 1% added as our admin fee). Minimum admin fee of R15 is charged.
  3. For example - if you pay you domestic worker R2 000 salary for a specific month the amount payable will be R60 of which R40 will be paid towards Department of Labour and R20 is charged as our admin fee. If salary of R1 000 is paid for a specific month the amount payable will be R35 of which R20 will be paid towards Department of Labour and R15 is charged as our admin fee (minimum amount).
  4. We will then submit the monthly declaration form to the department of Labour and make the payment on your behalf. Proof of these payments will be e-mailed to you on request.

3. How does this service work?

For your convenience we have developed 2 methods in which you can make history (back payments) and future monthly payments towards UIF for your domestic worker(s).

These methods are:

  • Via debit order (strongly recommended). We do everything on your behalf. You get a monthly reminder via e-mail of the amount going off on debit order as well as your current domestic worker’s details. The only time you need to do anything is if any of the details e.g. the salary/ domestic employee changes from what is currently on our system. Details currently on our system will be e-mailed to you monthly.

Send us an e-mail here to get the debit order process rolling.

 OR

  • Via online payment. You can log into our website monthly and make payments via credit card/ eft

Please download the file below for easy instructions on how to make UIF payments towards your domestic worker on our website if you do not want to utilise the debit order service.
