Before submitting the form below please read through the following information :
1. When do I need to register as an employer of worker(s) in a private household with the UIF.
According to labour law if you employ a person who works for more than 24 hours in a month you will have to register with the UIF.
2. How does it work?
Step 1 - simply complete the form below and submit.
Step 2 - pay the R149 online via credit card or bank transfer.
We do the rest, as soon as you are registered as a employer and the domestic worker is registered for UIF, you wil receive an email stating your registration number. We will also send you a standard domestic worker's contract as well as an example of a paysllip free of charge as soon as you are registered.
3. What is the turnaround time?
To register as an employer with the UIF normally takes 5 - 10 working days.
4. What happens after you have been registered as an Employer of Domestic Worker(s)?
Once registered you will have to submit a declaration form together with payment to the Department of Labour. Payment is calculated at 1% from the employee's gross salary as well as a 1% contribution from the employer.
We can also submit declarations and payments on you behalf, an e-mail with more details will be send to as soon as soon as you are registered.
